I love Flash. There’s no doubt about the impact Flash has had on the web design industry since it’s introduction in 1996. Currently in it’s 10th version with Actionscript 3 under it’s hood it’s a beast that once tamed opens up a world of creativity.
As I said, I love Flash, but were it not for a couple of websites and a handful of people I’d have spent more time hating it.
Here they are:
Lee Brimelow is a guru for the Flash, Flex and Air platforms. There’s no wonder that he works for Adobe. And the best thing of all, he likes to give back. What a guy. I’d hug him if he was here. Instead I’ll point you to his amazing site, packed with video tutorials. So easy to follow, and so well put together you’ll be nailing your code in on time. There’s even a forum if you need some more guidance.
Another fantastic and indispensible site for getting your head around the wonderful world of all things Flash (and then some) is this site from Kirupa Chinnathambi. This site has extensive and friendly forums too, a great place to turn for solutions before code rage sets in.

Probably your best bet for answers is another developer. There’s always one lurking around with a brain the size of Adobe’s wallet. I’d like to give a nod to a couple I know right here. First is Rob Gibson, genius. Check out some of his stuff here www.robgibo.com. And my current favourite Ben Garraud, www.bengarraud.co.uk. If you work with these guys now, or in the future then reach inside their heads and grab all you can. Just don’t say I sent you.
